Original early style dial is in fantastic condition. The dial remain glossy, bright and crisp. The luminous has aged beautifully and the original hands match perfectly.

Original case has seen very minimal detailing in the past. The original beveled edges are still present and the lugs remain thick and even. The bakelite insert is 100% original and in excellent condition. The insert has NO CRACKS, which is very rare to find today.

Original swiss made riveted bracelet with 80 endpieces and clasp dated 1958. The bracelet is original to the watch and has minimal stretch.

The no crown guard GMT 6542 is one of the all time classic Rolex sports watches. The original bakelite bezel inserts age beautifully, but are also quite fragile, making them very difficult to find in excellent condition. This watch is in overall excellent original condition and would make an outstanding addition to any serious collection.
