Original small daytona black dial has aged to a stunning tropical brown shade. The brown color is mostly even throughout, but slightly spotty near the registers. The luminous dots have all aged dark and match the original hands.

Original first series screw down case has been polished in the past. The 4 lugs remain even. Original MK1 pushers, twin-lock crown, mk1 bezel and domed glass. 6240 in the caseback and original movement with correct 2 line bridge.

The first screw down daytona reference 6240 are quite rare. Finding one with an original black dial turned brown, is extremely rare. Black to brown tropical dials are mostly found on oyster dials for 626X, further adding to the rarity of this tropical beauty. A great daytona for any serious collection.
