Dial

Incredible early brown nipple dial with stunning glossy finish is in perfect condition. The dial is the same version used for no crown guard 1675 and has a hyphen between oyster and perpetual. The stick hands are original and match the dial perfectly. This combination of early dial and stick hands was only used for a very short period of time.

Case

The case is excellent condition and appears to have never been polished. The edges are still intact, but the case does show average surface wear. The caseback has French import hallmarks in the middle of the outside and is hand engraved by the small French jeweler, "JEAN ETE PARIS."

Bracelet

Italian made custom brown suede strap and buckle.

Comments

Purchased directly from the first owner, a long time Paris native who moved to NYC in the 1980's. He bought this watch new from the small French jeweler, "JEAN ETE PARIS." He wore the watch very sparingly, since his original purchase. This is the first gold GMT that I have ever seen with French import hallmarks and the first Rolex I have seen to be signed by this retailer. In the late 1960's, there was a small batch of gold GMT's produced with stick hands. This was featured alongside the Concord in an original Rolex advertisement.
